Charlotte Scarce is a self-taught artist who lives and paints in Carroll County, Georgia. Reared in Roswell, Georgia, graduating from it’s high school in 1974.

From around 1995 to 2006, Scarce painted signs that appeared to be from the 1930’s. She made these “antique” signs to “add some color” th her then antique business leaning heavily toward primitive.

Encouraged by friends and the purchasers of her signs, in 2006 Scarce began painting birds, barns, flowers and other things she describes as “dear to her old hippie green heart”.

She uses acrylic and latex house paint noteworthy for the many subtle colors that appear in her self taught style.

One can expect her modest prices to increase as her work becomes better known.
